Dividing the field
A field is divided by a bar — a transom horizontally, a mullion vertically. The software is not just drawing a line: it knows which field the bar sits in, which profile belongs on it and how the neighbouring field dimensions change. Several bars can be inserted at once, spacings evened out in a single action, and on a cross division you choose whether the horizontal or the vertical runs through uninterrupted. A field can be locked to a fixed dimension or a ratio, or the bar given only a minimum and maximum it may move between.
- Frames and sashes
- Single and multi-sash units, fixed fields, toplights and sidelights.
- Transoms and mullions
- Horizontal and vertical, singly or several at once, with spacing equalisation.
- Field constraints
- A fixed dimension or ratio holds the field; minimum and maximum only limit how far the bar may move.
- Corner and bay units
- Two frames at an angle, joined by a post built from extensions or by a connector profile.
- Slanted units
- Angled geometry for triangular and trapezoidal shapes.
- Opening direction
- Opening symbols per sash — turn, tilt, tilt-and-turn, fixed.
